… and that is kind of the neat thing about poutine, it’s also the perfect canvas for a whole array of interesting toppings. Whether you want something extreme or exotic, smoked meat or snake meat, pork belly or butter chicken, poutine is a great vessel for all sorts of different flavours.
We all agreed that the food at Charcut was phenomenal. It wasn’t fancy or fussy, just expertly prepared and exceptionally delicious.
Overall the meal was fantastic. For the most part the food was excellent, the service was top-notch and we really, really enjoyed watching the open kitchen. We are both pretty interested in food (obviously), so getting a chance to watch such talented chefs at work was a lot of fun.
