A couple of weeks ago I was approached by the awesome people at Creative Packaging with a gift bag full with a wonderful assortment of products from their store, including a Paper Eskimo Decor Kit. If you are into crafting or baking, then Creative Packaging is definitely somewhere you should check out. They have all sorts of great products, in a variety of colours, including confection bags and boxes, gift boxes and bags, gift wrap, tissue and ribbon, and all sorts of unique containers. Lots and lots of fun things.
I’d actually never heard of the brand name Paper Eskimo before, but I had seen these cute little baking cups in action at various baby and bridal showers.
I had been advised that egg dishes (mini quiches, etc) worked the best in the baking cups, however I’m not the biggest egg fan, so I opted to make cupcakes instead.
The great thing about using these cups is that you don’t need to use a muffin tin. You just place the cups on a baking sheet, fill them with the batter, throw them in the oven and they are ready to go. Super easy!
The cupcakes ended up looking super cute in the Paper Eskimo baking cups. I loved the fun, bright, bold colours and patterns. As I had been warned, the only downside is that the grease in the batter does leach through the cups a bit, making them slightly translucent in some areas, but honestly it wasn’t that noticeable. If I was making cupcakes for a party I think these cups would be awesome to use, they are just so cute.
Creative Packing has also given me the opportunity to give away a Paper Eskimo Decor Kit to one of you, my lovely readers! The decor kit includes 24 paper baking cups, 24 cupcake toppers, 16 paper candy bags with labels and 8 paper food trays.
To enter, simply comment on this post telling me what your favourite flavour of cupcake is. One entry, per person, per day. I’ll be randomly selecting a winner next Wednesday. Please note that you must be able to pick up the Decor Kit from Creative Packaging in Edmonton.
Good luck and happy Wednesday!
